About GLOW

Our goal is to advance the well-being of women in areas such as the vaginal microbiome and sexual health, as well as conditions and outcomes of pregnancy.

These conditions often reflect racial and socioeconomic disparities and are understudied relative to their impact on overall health, quality of life, and the participation of California women in the workforce.

The goal of our consortium (in the planning stage) is to generate new discoveries and research productivity by cross-fertilizing women’s health with another unique strength of the UC system – Glycoscience.
