**This year SDGS will take place over just one day instead of two. As a result, the NextGen Session will be integrated into the main SDGS meeting, providing trainees with the opportunity to enhance their visibility by presenting their research alongside faculty and others at SDGS. This year there will not be a separate NextGen Session as in previous years.**
Trainee presentations are selected from a pool of submitted abstracts. Additionally, one trainee may be named as the Rising Star and will be asked to give a talk at the closing of the meeting. To be considered to present during SDGS, indicate your intention on the registration form (above) by March 13, 2025 to sdgs@ucsd.edu.
The SDGS Committee, with the support of the SDGS Chair, will select abstracts for 15-minute oral presentations + 5 min Q&A. Committee decisions will be emailed March 2025. There will be a Trainee Speaker Award for best oral presentation. Presentation slots are limited. If your abstract is not selected, you also have an opportunity to present a poster during the Poster Session. Abstract is not required to do a poster talk.
**Registration link will become active once registration opens.
Trainees and Fellows are encouraged to present a poster at SDGS during the Poster session on Friday afternoon during lunchtime. Please indicate your intention to present a poster on the registration form (above). You must send the title of your poster to sdgs@ucsd.edu by March 27, 2025 to be listed in the Program. Posters must not exceed 48" x 48". Bring your poster to the registration table on Thursday morning during check in. No abstract is required to do a poster talk. This is separate from submitting an abstract to give a talk during the meeting.
