• Admission to all scientific sessions Thursday, Friday
• Admission to trainee poster session and reception, Thursday evening

Abstract Submission (trainees only)

Presentations at NextGen are selected from the pool of submitted abstracts. A few abstracts may be selected to present during main SDGS meeting in lieu of NextGen session. To be considered to present during NextGen session or the SDGS main meeting, indicate your intention on the registration form: 1) to attend NextGen session and 2) to submit an abstract for consideration to speak by March 13, 2025 to sdgs@ucsd.edu.

The NextGen Committee, with the support of the SDGS Chair, will select abstracts for 15-minute oral presentations + 5 min Q&A. Committee decisions will be emailed no later than March 24, 2025. There will be a NextGen Speaker Award for best oral presentation. Presentation slots are limited. If your abstract is not selected, you also have an opportunity to present a poster at the Thursday evening, Poster Session & Reception.

Poster Session & Reception (all welcome)

April 24, 2025

Trainees and Fellows are encouraged to present a poster at SDGS during the Poster session and reception on Thursday evening, following the main meeting. Please indicate your intention to present a poster on the registration form. You must send the title of your poster to sdgs@ucsd.edu by March 27, 2025 to be listed in the Program. Posters must not exceed 48" x 48". Bring your poster to the registration table on Thursday morning during check in. No abstract is required to do a poster talk. 

Networking Event (trainees only)

April 24, 2025

The San Diego Glycobiology Symposium (SDGS) provides an informal environment where young investigators can network with companies/SDGS sponsors, exchange ideas and discuss potential career training opportunities immediately following the NextGen Session on Thursday, April 24. 

Dinner (all welcome)

April 25, 2025

A buffet dinner at The Alexandria, Torrey Pines follows the meeting on Friday evening. Dinner is included with SDGS registration cost.Tickets are non-transferrable and are not refundable after April 11, 2025 as we have to provide a guarantee to the venue for food/beverage.

Payment via ACH, Wire, and Intercampus Recharge within the UC System are also accepted. We regret that we cannot accept credit card payment. An email confirmation will be sent upon receipt of payment.

Cancellation

Written notification is required for all cancellations and changes. Cancellation notifications must be received by April 11, 2025 to receive a refund. Any cancellations received after this date will forfeit the registration fee in its entirety.
