The 12th Annual San Diego Glycobiology Symposium

This symposium brings together laboratories in San Diego, and elsewhere in California, that have a primary or major interest in glycobiology. The objectives are to exchange information on the latest advances in the field, and to promote interactions between members of these laboratories and other attendees from academia, biotechnology and the pharmaceutical industry. To maximize interactions, the setting is informal.

The venue for the Symposium will be the Kona Kai Resort and Spa, San Diego, (formerly the Shelter Pointe Hotel and Marina) located on spectacular San Diego Bay.  The Kona Kai Resort and Spa is a year round resort hotel on eleven acres of lush tropical gardens situated right at the tip of Shelter Island. It is uniquely located to allow easy access to all the exciting area attractions including the San Diego Zoo and Sea World while providing a relaxing retreat from the intensity of dynamic San Diego.  The Resort is just three miles from San Diego International Airport.

The banquet on Friday night will be a private, chartered cruise aboard The Spirit on San Diego Bay provided by San Diego Harbor Excursion, where you will be able to enjoy San Diego's beautiful harbor and scenic skyline.  Dinner cruise boarding is at 6:30 p.m. and we will cruise until 10 p.m.
